Field Trip # 9

Walking outside, with the dynamic weather hectoring my contentedness, I was on my way to 30 Strikes bowling alley for my ninth sponsor visit. I greeted my sponsor upon arrival at the bowling alley, and we went into his office, and he asked me how am I doing with my presentation. I told him that I have not yet started because I've been trying to focus on other work, such as the research paper that was due recently. He's been telling me to start my project for a couple of weeks now, but the point that I was trying to make was that we are going to have most of May devoted to working on presentations, but he continues to insist that I start it right away, and I understand his suggestions because I will have to work assiduously in order to be prepared for a 45 minute presentation. I jotted down some ideas for my project like my sponsor insisted that I do. He told me it is going to take hours of work and planning. I understand it is paramount that I plan, and have relevant and captivating material for my project. I plan on brainstorming as soon as possible, so I can sooner bring my ideas and thoughts into fruition.

Field Trip# 8

This past Thursday, I went to 30 Strikes for my weekly sponsor visit. He was taking a call in his office when I arrived, so I waited outside patiently until he was finished. When he was finished, we greeted each other, and then we were greeted by a salesperson from a vending company. My sponsor told the guy his problems with apple vending, and how some of the arcade games weren't working properly. Also the mechanic that came in to fix one of the games seemed incompetent because he had not a clue how to fix the machine. They had a long conversation. Some of it was about business and some was leisure, but it was very interesting. After the intellectual conversation, my sponsor and I took a ride to pick up some trophies for the bowlers. On the way back he asked about my presentation. He told me I needed to get started on it, and I understood his constructive criticism. It was a very productive day.

The world we live in

Life is so hard is like living on sharp pins and needles.
Tears falling to the ground.
This is Misery the sequel.
Life is evil for everyone and their entire being. Spell live backwards then you'll understand what I mean.
To be happy is distant, its  on a whole other level, to have had life is cruel, turn lived around, and you get the word devil.
The world is tough, it's rough, it tortures us, but you have no choice but to take this stuff.
You quit, you submit, it never stops even when you've had enough.
The body, mind, and soul gets ripped, shredded and torn
Peace, tranquility, serenity, is never infinity.
Contentedness abandons you and leaves you forlorn
This isn't Hell but there is fractious ubiquitous fire
Hapless and stuck  in the terrors of a daunting quagmire.
Depravity, deprived of integrity, lacking in courtesy
Insanity, absence of morality, having no mercy
People yelling in your face, saying that your a disgrace, no good, and a huge waste
Frustration, irritation, aggravation, humiliation, thinking that you've run your last race
No discipline, no innocence, a life fulled with such sin
Its sad but that's the world we live in

Movin up in the gaming world

Because of my superlative acumen, I can make a connection between many two different things, and this time I will make a connection between gaming and business or jobs in general. Similar to a job, you can progress in a game with time and work. If you play Rpg's( Role playing games), you can level up your character, and be a bigger threat to your opponent, or make it easier to complete certain objectives. Some games might be easier than others, but many of them requires some serious hours and skills. It's almost like moving up the ladder in a job. When someone spends a certain amount of time at a particular job, they sometimes become qualified for promotions. Promotions could mean more money, power, and respect. Whether you are playing a game, or working hard at a job, moving up is essential because we all want to have status.

Field Trip# 7

This past Thursday, I went to 30 Strikes for another weekly sponsor visit. When I walked inside, my sponsor was in his office doing some paper work. I took a seat, and we brainstormed ideas for my project. I mentioned that it was imperative that I concocted a way to take up 35-45 minutes. It's been a big fear of mine, and I know I'm going to be under a lot of pressure, but I'm a creative genius so I should be okay. After we discussed about my possible plan for my presentation,  he told me a story about how Ford stole some guys idea for some advancement for window wipers, and how the guy sued Ford for fifteen years until they finally gave him seven million dollars.  We then stepped out of his office to be introduced to someone who sold him a message chair. My sponsor suggested something to the man about the advertisement of some sort that was for the chair. He told him that it didn't really catch peoples' attention, and he was right. My sponsor suggested that he put a girl with pulchritude on the sign, so it can turn some heads, and the man listened and was thankful for his advice. From that moment I realized that my sponsor is a true business man. I can't wait to see what will happen this upcoming Thursday.

Mac&Shaq

I has yet another weekly meeting with my mentor Coach Mac. We talked about what I was learning at the bowling alley. I told him I was learning through storytelling from my sponsor about business. We spent time trying to figure what was my blogger address, so he could be able to comment on my blog. While in the process, we were entertained by the humorous Coach Hanford, who said he would help Coach Mac with commenting, and he also gave him some beneficial suggestions. Tune in next week for another episode with Mac & Shaq.
