Bad start to bad business

This past Friday was the first meeting of my International Dance Club. On that day, I asked for their to be an announcement at the end of the day for a reminder about the first club meeting. When the time came for the meeting in C105, the room was almost vacant. Ms. Mose said that there was one person interested in the club, but she couldn't stay. I knew then that I need to take different approach to get a membership. There are probably many factors that contributed to the lack of success. First, the day Friday may not seem like the smartest day to hold a meeting, especially if the club isn't "up and running". People all across the school have been reading my signs that I put up, and many have shown interest in the club, but I need to do more than that to make people act on their interest and actually become a member of the club. Many peers have suggested that I try to get the word out about the club on the morning announcements, and it sounds like a wise idea. This failure was a good learning experience, and I can relate this to how I need to catch people's interest for a business because if I were to fail, I won't be making much dinero in the future.
