Field Trip # 4
On Friday, I went to 30 Strikes for my 4th sponsor meeting. I arrived and my sponsor asked me how my week went, and he once again asked me about a tutor in math and science, and I told how I felt about tutoring, but he convinced me that my reasons were extraneous. He joked and said I should get one of those cute freshman to tutor me. Anyway went inside, and we walked towards the back, and one again he announced that I was going to be doing some math, and if you didn't know already, yo detesto matematicas mucho. He needed 18ft of electrical wire for something I can't remember right now, but he gave me a ruler and told me to measure 18ft of wire. I started and I was doing it one foot at a time, and he stopped me and said that the ruler was 3ft long, so he told me to measure it by every 3ft. After he cut the wire, we had to repeat this process three more times, and while we were doing this, he told me the story of how he bought one of his bowling alleys. He told me how he had to sell his car and boat, and he explained to me how loans from the bank works, and why they would never give someone 100% of the total expenses. It was a very productive day. Until next time, take care of yourself and each other.

I wait for the next installment with baited breath. Your sponsor never sits still and I admire how he rolled the dice, selling his prized possession in order to get the cheddar.
